• Blueberry Basil and Lemon Ice Cubes

I am on a creative kick to create refreshing drinks this summer.  Tasting something sweet, sour, and very cold  takes my mind off of the heat.  When I hosted a garden party several weeks ago I discovered how much I love the taste of blueberry and basil together.  So, I developed an easy way to enjoy flavored refreshing drinks at ALL times.  These are blueberry basil lemon ice cubes. I make several trays at a time,  grab a few cubes and toss them in my drink.  Perfection!

    2 cups water
    juice of one lemon
1 cup organic blueberries (fresh or frozen)
    3-4 leaves fresh basil sliced
10 drops stevia (optional) ~ I prefer mine without any sweetener

Mix water, lemon, and stevia if desired. Fill trays with this mixture. Add 2 blueberries and a few sprigs of basil to each cube and freeze. Pop out the cubes and place in a tray for easy access. Enjoy!
